Welcome to Glancegin School's WebPage.

Glancegin School is situated on the outskirts of the City of Bangor, Gwynedd.  It is a County Primary School (mixed infant and junior), and a bilingual day schools where 254 pupils aged 3-11year old are taught. At the present time it has a staff of 13 teachers and three nursery assistants, as well as a Nursery and a Special Educational Unit. The school serves the community of Maesgeirchen, Bangor and seeks to play an important role in the life of that community.

I believe than an effective school is one which functions at the heart of the community and one which uses the resources of the community to enrich its pupils learning. This essential interaction between school and community is a vital element in our work. Our aim is to provide an education of quality and of real value to the children, where the contribution of each individual is important. We try to create a happy and welcoming atmosphere that will enable the child to learn effectively, respond positively and develop into responsible members of society. At the same time the personal welfare of each child is important to us.

With our caring and committed staff we can provide worthwhile educational experiences for the children.
